My son's PS2 is fickle. It will save with some NASCAR games and not others (it will save 2002 and 2003, but not 2004,5 and 6). It will save Star Wars Battlefront games and Disney Cars, but not Kim Possible or Battle for Volcano Island. What's going on?

wow... that's wierd... is it under guarantee (spelling) still? i haven't even heard of that TYPE of problem!

Sometimes files become corrupt. turn on the PS2 without a disc, then go into the browser and look in the memory card. this will tell you if any files are corrupt. short of that you may need a new card.

Is the memory card full? It may be that the games that can save already exist on the memory card, and are therefore only being overwritten and therefore don't need any more free space, but the new ones are trying to create a new game save file and there is insufficient room.
