  • Root pruning works most of the time..take a shovel..go out about 6" from the base of the plant..shove the shovel into the dirt and chop through the roots :)
  • I trust you are prunning it severly as well. You want to creat spurs. Get a prunning book.
  • Pruning back sometimes makes a difference. It thinks it's life is in jeopardy when you are harsh with it. But often, nothing works. There was one in Boston that didn't bloom forever 102 years! LOL!!!
  • cut it back hard IN THE WINTER close to old wood leaving budded stick stubs coming off of the old wood..after year two of winter pruning it should be a nice canopy display.....YOU must maintain wisteria throughout its life i've seen it kill trees and tear roofs apart if left unattended...also in to summer to maintain its shape and form as a tidy canopy i trim the fleshy new growth evry 3 weeks ...this also aids in winter pruning by not having to prune such a tangled knotted viney mess....Research the word copice
