It shows they have no control over anything in their lives. If you can't control your own pet, you're in sad shape.

I know everytime i go to my bf's house he just lets his dog jump all over me so far she owes me a pair of sneakers and at least two outfits damn dog

I think it shows what they would do to you if it was socially acceptable.

It's rude. I personally have no problem with a dog jumping up and down on me (and slobbering on my face), but the person should control the pooch until permission is given.

It tells me that they aren't in control. That they don't know how to be a calm assertive pack leader to their dog. And it is very rude and disrespectful of their guests. Dirty, torn clothing or scratches down your legs and arms aren't any way to treat people. It also tells me that they don't care for their visitors enough to solve this problem. People will soon stop coming over when they are treated this way.
