Sure it is, it's just a tad tiring. You're pushing a lot of bulk through the water if you haven't squeezed out a majority of the air from the suit using the traditional " dry suit prayer", technique. A tri lam or vulcanized rubber suit would be better suited (pardon the pun) for this, rather than a crushed neoprene. Not quite as buoyant nor as much material to bulk up.
