No it really can't be done like that. I know that commercial hard candy says it has Splenda in them but they do other things. Hard candy is really just melted, hardened sugar. Splenda is soooo sweet, much sweeter than sugar and so to sell it they even put it in something like a filler (maltodextrin) to bulk it up more so you can measure it but the bulk isn't the same as melting and heating regular sugar. I'm sorry. But you could use this recipe on a low carb sugar free website on how to make lollipops from other things. It might work for you. http://makinghome.com/kitchen.html
