Personally I admire cats independance. A dog will constantly stare-up at you for aknowledgement and affection and demand your attention, a cat just sits there with a 'Yeh WHAT!' look and need no bolstering of their self confidence.

Beats me. Didn't think of cats at all until we adopted one. Biggest damn baby in the house. Also the only other male. Greets me at the door daily when I get home from work. Wakes me every morning like clockwork. Loves to be petted and played with. What's there to like?
