  • No. The purpose of prison is to protect society, not to seek revenge. Besides, including appeals, extra security, and other things the general public doesn't know about, it costs WAY more to put someone to death than it does to keep them in jail... even if you inlude their medical care as they age. Also, the vast majority of people on death row die of natural causes before their execution, because the appeals process takes over 20 years. In California, it averages 16 million dollars per execution if you average the dollars spent on death row expenses divided by the number of people that actually get executed.
  • You can never tell until you're in the situation but for me, I'd have to say not at all. The judicial system has absolutely no right to decide if someone lives or dies. I thinks it's crazy that there is a death penalty.
  • It would not matter,for it is not in my nature to require another to die,even if it is a loved one.My belief is strong and I do not have room for hate for it would eat me up alive.
