  • Yep. They fought for equality, so why is it that men should be the only one's that have to die?
  • Yes - I am for equality in all walks of life so women and men should be treated equally. Although I am also fundamentally opposed to the principle of the draft in a democracy that respects individual human rights. Perhaps someday such a place will exist.
  • Yes. Hell, it works for Israel...
  • Absolutely not!
  • NO! Who's gonna take care of the kids? Besides, in wartime women take up the slack in industry too.
  • yes they can do many jobs within the military but they should not be included in the infantry they simply arnt strong enough
  • Yes I do. I think men and women should be equal in all aspects. So if a man can be on the frontline, getting shot at, so should a woman.
  • Yes, I believe they would and should.
  • Without question. Women should experience the dieing, the wounds and the crippling injuries equally. It's what they've fought so hard to achieve!
  • Yep. I'm not going, though...lol
  • Absolutely. A woman can shoot a rifle just as good as a man, Why should it always be the guys getting shot at. Equal rights.
  • Maybe the wars would end sooner if we put women in charge?
  • I am torn on the answer, I want women to be treated equally as they should be, but I would hate to see a nice set of tits and ass go to waste by being shot.
  • IF I were a single man, I'd be calling up women with or without a draft. Now I just call them up for business and ministry. Oh ... you mean, should they be drafted. Hmmmmm .. Probably ...
  • For the sake of equality, yes women should be subjected to the same illegality as men! But it wouldn't work because most women would simply become with child to escape the draft and the ensuing population spike would be significant! Unless you want a lot of new cannon fodder to restock your military for conventional wars then yes this would be appropriate!
  • i think they should just get the choice to go like they are now. but women should be allowed in combatant positions
  • Women have enough on our shoulders. I think it should be just as it is, her choice.
  • No, the main gender in the military is men and including women into it would cause chaos and disruption, especially to certain customs like dress code. Unless you could train a woman to behave like a man then sure, although I don't know why someone would want to do that. After all, if there is a draft, who is going to stay in the home country and take care of everything there?
  • Nope. Call me sexist if you want, but women aren't generally as strong or as fast, and tend to be more sensitive. In a life threatening situation, you need to be surrounded by capable people, and a draft including females would put people at risk. Not insulting all women- some are capable and likely better than men in the army.
  • of course.
  • yah women wanted to be equal to men they want the same jobs same pay the military should be included to there equality
  • Absolutely not. Women should stay out of combat.
  • Actually, women in the Israel Defense Force are not as free to enter the combat arms as people outside Israel believe. Women were allowed to apply for fighter pilot training in 1994 and that happened only after several women sued the IDF to make it happen (The case was finally decided by the Israeli Supreme Court.) From http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/124558 "Besides serving in various combat support roles, such as Deputy Operations Officers, Intelligence Officers and signal operators, women now serve in combat roles in the IDF's Artillery Corps, and in a special mixed-sex infantry battalion called the Karakal, which is stationed along Israel's peaceful borders (Egypt and Jordan). Another mixed-sex unit is Sachlav, a part of the Military Police, which has been stationed in Judea and Samaria. Women also serve in combat roles in the Border Guard." Note the placement here: Artillery Infantry in a low-threat environment Military Police (which are not combat units) Border guard (not combat units) As you can see, women may go in harm's way in Israel, but the IDF makes a plain effort to greatly limit the actual combat risk. Should women be drafted? Yup. The Soviet Union did that in WW2 as a necessity and the same rule should apply in the US.
  • In my opinion, the women should stay at home and cook for family. I don't think so all women are stronger than men. what if the war break out, the military women will rape by enemies for answering about informations. Who knows. I believe that women should be not drafted.
