Do you think pubs and restaurants in the UK are much better now than when smoking was allowed in them?

Definitely not in this small town in West Wales, the pubs are so dead now, especially if it's raining (and it has been for nigh on 2 months non-stop), as people don't want to have to stand out and get cold and wet to have a smoke. The pubs are always pretty quiet here compared to a lot of places, but they've definitely become a LOT quieter now.

No a couple of clubs have already closed and the cause is the no smoking ban,its a shame that people are loosing there livelyhoods and the staff loosing there jobs because of it,i feel that pubs that serve food should be no smoking then let the landlords of the other puds decide for themselves if they wanted to go no smoking or not,then at least there would be a choice for customers.
