  • Aww what a lovely gesture!! the thing you need to ask yourself is, are the kids and you all missing the dog? can you maybe get another one where you are or are you really happy to leave the dog with your parents? I can imagine that your parents have become attached... it would be a shame to take the dog away... its a hard one MB but im sure you will make the right decision, let me know what you decide... good luck xxxx
  • If you love mom and pop then yes, you can always visit all as a family. lovely thought and caring of you to think this way.
  • If they want to take care of her then yes, i think thats a lovely gesture on your part.
  • You have to consider several things: Can you live with only visiting her when you see your parents? Can she live with only seeing you when you visit your parents? Can your parents afford to care for her? Can your parents care for her properly with their ill health? Is flying her to your new home worth the expense and stress for her and you? Lastly, pets are very therapeutic. They've been shown to reduce stress levels and lower blood pressure. Letting your parents keep her may be good for them. In the end, though, she's your dog and you have every right to keep her. You have a very difficult decision to make. Good luck.
  • That is a very difficult decision to make, give your parents your dog or ask for your dog while your parents are recuperating. The best decision is to let your parents contiune caring for your dog until they say they no longer can. This might be really hard for you.Maybe you could get another puppy or a cat.
  • What a great gift of giving that would be and it will help them so much , yes I would let them keep your dog + 5
  • I have been through something similar. I would try to see if the dog is happy and attached to them also. If so, I would let her stay
