  • I do use Vista.
  • I've used Linux full time for the last several years. Good thing too... I'd probably have to buy a brand new computer to meet Vista's steep hardware requirements, whereas with Linux I have the latest and greatest software running nicely on a very average system. Anyone can do the same: http://www.kubuntu.org http://www.ubuntu.com http://www.opensuse.org http://www.pclinuxos.com Happy surfing.
  • Same thing Todd Lyons said :P The only time I have to get on that horrid os is to fix it for other people when it breaks... which is often :P
  • I haven't given Vista a fair try. I've only tried it on my laptop and I wasn't impressed. So I went back to XP. Knowing that Vista won't come into its own until the first service pack, I took a different tack. I bought a Macbook. Just to give it a try. My Windows laptop hasn't seen the light of day since. I still use my XP desktop, but the Macbook and I have become good friends.
  • I would use Linux before Vista because it gives much better performance for the hardware investment and is more stable, by all accounts. I will put off buying a new system until MS moves beyond Vista or a new office standard is adopted, which will likely be Linux made capable of running most Windows applications. I'm very happy with XP on my desktop and 98 on my laptop for the time being.
  • I would use Vista.
