  • Data entry can be tedious. There is also something called "shelf reading" in a library where you literally stand there and look at all the books and make sure they're in order according to all the little dewey decimal stickers on them. That's pretty tedious too.
  • Waiting for patients to recover from day surgery...takes aaaaaaaaaaaaaaages. Especially when you know they are ready to go, and they linger for ever.
  • I used to have a job making cakes. 280 slab cakes were one night's work. But my helper, he had to tip the cakes out of the tray and put a piece of paper in the tray, ready to go again. I had alot of respect for my helpers. Some people spent all night / day cleaning cake tins with a plastic scraper. The cake crumbs were hard, the tins were oily, and the tins didn't look particularly good when 'clean' so they didn't even have the reward of something looking nice when they finished.
  • I actually kind of enjoy data entry....
  • Any job that you are doing the same thing all the time gets tedious. People just find ways to keep on going. Thank goodness there are jobs...plain and simple
