Probably all chemicals applied to your hair are noxious.

Yes, there isn't any way to straighten it other than maybe wrapping it around your head that is not bad for your hair.

I used to straighten my hair everyday. now i wash it then straighten it every other day. I towel dry it because using a hair dryer and straightener is a little too much for hair too handle. I find my hair is smoother now though.

i straighten my hair every day,and blow dry it,and i have tons of highlights, change my hair color monthly...and i still have no problems.if you use silk drops or any kind of protectant liquid or spray it should be fine.

yes, it is bad for your hair. before i started straightening mine, it was nice and curly and smooth and shiny. when i straighten it, it smells like fried hair and goes all brittle and hard and disgusting and not at all silky. it is slowly recovering, thankgod... i suggest if you do it, that make sure you only do it when it's clean because if it's oily then it's just the same as straightening your hair when it's wet.. which is very bad for it. make sure also that you use spray or liquid and stuff and only do it once a week and get it trimmed reguarly.

straightening out the facts about hair never hurt anybody

Hair has no health. If you can see it...and it's left your scalp, it is dead. The concept of "hair health" was created by the beauty industry.
-
