  • I used to own a 2000 kia sephia. It was crap. I always told my friends that is was killed in action!
  • I had a 2000 Kia Sephia also and it was an awesome car. It lasted me 4 years from 16 years old to 20 years old. Until I crashed it on my way to work....that was KIA. lol.
  • When I got out of the navy after ten years; my first knowledge of Kia motor company was when a Kia Sephia self distructed on a highway near my old home in west Texas. Don't think I'll ever buy one.
  • Didn't realize it stood for "killed in action." That's like the Chevrolet Nova that didn't sell in Spanish speaking countries because No va means "no go." That just tells you marketing people need to do more research before deciding on a name!
  • What I could have found while browsing through http://www.kia-world.net website was this: Kia derives from the Sino-Korean words ki ("to come out") and a (which stands for Asia), and is translated as "rising out of Asia".
  • LOL, I drive a KIA and I came very very close to getting hit the other day too. Some other car almost smashed right into my drivers side door, I had to swerve off the road to avoid him. Now, I will think about that every time I drive.
  • I don't know but it will make for an interesting quote when they break down.
