diesel or gas? original engine or no? The reason why I ask diesel is because one of my search hits for 2001 Blazer timing was: http://dieselplace.com/forum/index.php Assuming idle is the issue and assuming this is a gasoline not diesel basic instructions on adjusting idle speed at a carburetor can be found here: http://www.ehow.com/how_2268_adjust-idle-carbureted.html For diesel something like: http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/adjustments/2nd_Gen-Idle.htm No none of those address the 2001 Blazer specifically. as a general guide they will work to get you in the right direction. If you need more accurate illustrations or diagrams of the engine you need a Chilton's Owners Manual which covers that year and make and model. Usually these are found at any auto parts store (NAPA, AutoZone, Kragan) Since we are talking of such a late model this will be on the shelf. Older models might have to be special ordered - depending on the store. Chiltons has just about every part of the vehicle illustrated and covers a lot of information on how to repair, replace, adjust _________. I tried to locate an owner's manual for the 2001 Blazer on the net either sites are down or their links are dead - I did not pursue it beyond a couple sites - it may be something you can spend some time on. Some newer carburetors are non-adjustable (or so I have heard) and idle speed issues have more to do with air leaks (vacuum) or the on board computer being frelled. Even if it is adjustable other things may be playing a roll: so before you go fiddling with adjustments I would suggest reading this: http://www.jag-lovers.com/xjlovers/xjfaq/idleadjust.htm

It's the original gasoline engine. I don't believe it has a carb. I'm pretty sure its EFI, which seems to make things even more complicated haha..
