In snooker after a coloured ball is sunk, what happens if a ball is occupying the spot where the coloured ball is to be replaced?

The ball will go on the next available colour place. For instance, if the black is potted and its spot is taken, then the black would occupy the space taken by the pink - if thats available, if not, the blue space and so on.

The rule is that the ball will be respotted on the highest available spot, where the order of values in descending order is black/pink/blue/brown/green/yellow. If all 6 spots are occupied, the ball is respotted as close to its own spot as possible, in a direct line with the top cushion (the "top" end being the end where the reds are racked, despite the confusing fact that this appears on the bottom of the TV screen when watching!).
