Your Bible has everything you need to formulate a meaningful and inspiring lesson. Obtain or draw some pictures to help the children visualize the stories. Create examples for the morality lessons, learn the inner meaning of the parables. Your church certainly has some teaching resources available besides a drawing board, but if that's all you have, work with it. If you're not an artist, have pictures prepared in advance. Remember that the original motivation behind public education was to teach people how to read the Bible - not chemistry or social studies or literature because all that came along later.
