How do they determine the size of a shoe, and why are the womens sizes 2 sizes smaller than the men sizes? Cant there be just one size ration for all people?

I don't know who or how they decided shoe sizes as they are different in many countries. But there is a good reason that men's and women's shoes are sized differently. They are very different, both in width and shape. I have tried to fit men's smaller sized shoes and they just don't fit the same. The arches are different, the shape around the ball and heel. Yes, there are some generic, unisex shoes but those are a rarity. Men and women are different.
