I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Kingpin, truly one of Mr. Murray's most underrated characters. His comedic genius and improv skills are top notch. In this film (and a few others to some extent) Bill just glanced over the script to get the general idea of the plot and then threw it in the garbage and went "off the cuff" in nearly every single scene which the Farrelly Brothers (the directors) didn't mind because they felt Bill's improv was funnier than what was in the script. However, it's still hard to not mention the all time classics like Caddy Shack, Ghostbusters, Stripes and Groundhog Day. When I was younger I was addicted to Space Jam and Bill was a riot in that just playing himself.

I wasn't much of a Bill Murray fan, so I haven't seen many of his movies, but I did like him in the serious role he won the Oscar for (the title escapes me now). I'll have to make it my next question on here. I did enjoy "What About Bob" too. Maybe Richard Dreyfuss added much to the whole plot for me, but I did think it was a funny memorable movie. liked the humor in the frustration for Dreyfuss in the way Murray annoyed the hell out of him through the whole movie. I always think that's a great basis for a comedic plot: one character annoying another through the whole thing. Examples: Charles Groden annoying DeNero in "Midnight Run", Owen Wilson annoying J.Chan in "Shanghai Noon". Now, on TV, we've got shows like "Castle", and "Cupid". They both annoy the female lead in each episode. I love that format, and never get tired of it! It always makes me laugh. I think I'll make that my next question now for everyone to answer.
