  • I just think it is the mature way to handle it, It leaves the person not knowing what was wrong with the answer, like the one I answered, I wanted a chocolate cupcake and it was downrated and I really wanted a chocolate one too. :)
  • Good question. Probably because everyone is always looking for a fight today. No one wants to get along, what fun is there in that. Everyone being happy and all.
  • Exactly. I used to get upset with a down rate, but now I couldn't care less. I turned my rating thing off and couldn't be happier about it.
  • I believe that the uprate sometimes is comment enough. It's ok to disagree but if that downrate occurs in an opinion type question, it's perfectly normal to be upset about receiving such downrate. It's very rude and somewhat illogical not getting a reason or comment to go along with it.
  • I don't get upset because I don't leave comments either. You might downrate some lunatic who will then go on a downrate rampage against you. Also, I don't want to get involved in a big debate about every little thing on here. And it's usually pretty obvious why I get downrated. I don't usually agree with the downrate but it's usually obvious why someone might not have liked what I said.
  • Its like a punch and run..cowardly if done for little reason other than dislike.
  • People don't seem to really care why you agree with them, just an "I agree" is good enough. But they always want to know why you DISagree so they could debate and argue til the comment thread is a mile long.
