Help answer this question below.
Likely no. I'd migrate to somewhere else that's friendly and free.
Nope. I'm so broke, I can't even pay attention.
I know that this site has sold out a lot to sponsors in the last few months in order to generate revenue.
Well, I am sort of hooked but due to the mass exodus of users I severely doubt the effectiveness of such a maneuver. It's already bad enough having to deal with blue underlined links in answers as well as having to deal with everything turning into a Nascar race with signboards everywhere.
My answer is one of those cars because it has advertisement slapped onto it already.
The blueline special.

Not a chance. The minute I see that a site charges for use is the minute I leave.
Probably.
No. They should be paying me for this material. :P
Monthly charge I don't think so. I get enough of those in the mail. I like AB but at this time I would have to say NO I would not be on Answer Bag.

Nope.
I don't even have money to pay for things that I want desperately . I'm not that addicted.
no
As much as I enjoy AB and would feel the loss of not being able to interact here, I don't think I'd pay a fee. As someone else pointed out, there are so many free websites out there.
Shouldn't have to pay for knowledge, or worse, the many meaningless questions and hostility presented when someone doesn't like your opinion. Scroo dat.
This is a duplicate question, maybe stated slightly differently, but still.
I would pay to subscribe to AB if it meant that I wouldn't see any ads or their links and if the time limits on editing my comments and questions were removed.
Of course, I realize that if the time limit for editing my questions was removed it would be my responsibility to notify anyone who answered my question before I edited it.
don't give them ideas..I wouldn't stay.
Honestly? Probably not.
I'd probably see if I could get my parents to pay for it. I need to save money.
Though, if Answerbag were to charge a monthly, I would expect some improvements and some perks if I paid.
If it were a few dollars a month, yes. But I know some people who pay like 10-15 dollars a month for their internet provider, so I'd never pay more than that for access to any website.
No, I would just have to suffer AB withdrawals...but I bet there would be a lot less idiots on here. :P
No, I would not if there was a fee. I like AB, but I like others would have to leave if there is a fee.
don't you love when you spot a typo in your question and it's too late to fix it?
monthly rate... nah, I want a life time subscription with one installment.
No, I'm with several others ... broke, (and that's not where my name came from, even tho' it fits)!
I love AB, but no, I would not use this site if there was a fee.
No, there are many other things I should be doing. And there is always the sites I was on before for hours.
the best things in life are free.
Nope.
no
I might be if there was a small fee however I feel like it should only be if you want to answer and not for questioners. People should always feel free to come and inquire about something.
No
I would not be able to , the way my program is set up , I don't buy anything either over the Internet
+ 5
No
No.
No
I am so sick of paying for everything. I would absolutely not pay and I'd bad mouth this site if they ever start that crap. We all finally find something fun that doesn't cost money.
hell no.
Not a chance.
Perhaps. Not excessively so. If I had to buy an annual subscription, I probably would do so, up to $100 annually. Any more and I could not support the expense to my husband.
It would kind of be like a dating service then too, I would probably be getting more solid advice and getting rid of trolls.
There would still be a few trolls, and just paying $100 doesn't prove you are smarter. But I suspect that most trolls wouldn't pay for venting their bile upon me, and at least most ten year olds would be eliminated from answering my complex relationship questions when they have very little experience in the arena.
Not a chance.
I would not pay. We're doing them a favor by saturating their servers with informative content and opinion from the hearts and minds of humankind. When you think about it... this information will be invaluable in the future.
No. I would not pay, let alone give banking details.
No, I would not pay for a subscription.
The New York Times did that to me and I said no.
They put a charge on their “Select” content.
I just read Tom Freidman’s column in an out of town newspaper. LOL
It was just announced this week. that the Times is dropping their charges for the “Select” material .
They will try to sell more online adds instead.
I appreciate that Joel and Rich are very bright people, but if I am not paying for the
New York Times, I sure am not paying for answerbag!
No - there is no real value to this site for me-
Sure why not
nope
Nope!
Fraid so...Hope the higher ups aren't listening...
Probably not.
Lessee...
I pay a monthly subsciption fee so I can contribute answers for other people's education and/or amusement and/or irritation. :)
Nah.
Yes, if I could afford it. I am a homebody and don't really like going out for entertainment all that much. I pay for my internet provider, I pay for cable TV and AB certainly entertains me as much if not more than what I read or watch..so, again, providing it were affordable I would not leave. :)
no
