  • staffie , really the only thing you can do now , is be there when they want to talk , don't over do it - Just be there - Hugs and I'm here for you as I know others here on AB are to
  • The only thing you can do is let him know you are there for him no matter what and that even if he doesn't see it now he needs help. hang on and i hope everything get better.best wishes.
  • I am really sorry to hear about your brother, I hope hes doing OK now. No-one but him knows what was going on in his mind, and he may feel it easier to talk to someone about it such as a councillor, who is not close, the hospital or your GP can arrange this. I know you will be there for him, but please don't smother him, he needs to get back to normal without too much fuss.
  • Yikes...been there, done that...no fun, lots of worry, sadness, anger and thankfulness that he failed to succeed. Good advice lovie...don't overwhelm, but honestly tell him that you are available to chat anytime he wants to, and that you would have missed him so very much had he been successful! Encourage him to find SOMEONE he feels safe speaking to honestly about why he thought this was a good idea or a last ditch effort... I also tried this "solution" once when I was very young, because I thought it was the best way to fix the problems I had created, allowed in my life...hopefully your brother will also realize it's not a very HONEST solution at all. Bless you for caring and keep your chin up...I would bet a lot of people here will pray that he gets a clue and lets go of this bad idea.
