Just don't point it toward the street, or a tree. If you point it toward a tree, bark will get in very um, shall we say 'uncomfortable' places.

Those warnings are a liability protection. It's more to protect the company's legal ass than to protect the people using it. Just be reasonable when using it and you shouldn't have a problem. Keep in mind where you will land after sliding on it.

DON'T DO IT, RAMBO!!!!!!!! You really better pay heed to the warning on that particular toy. My son and my niece went and got one and decided they were going to use in my backyard -- not a good move. Both of them were kinda bruised in several places before they disassembled it, wiped it off and took that sucker back to the store for a refund!! They were 19 and 14 at the time. You might think young enough to play with that, but serious injury can occur!!

No. It's fun me and my friends have gotten drunk numerous times and went to walmart and got 2or 3 slip and slides with gallons of soap and blowup rafts and nobody has got hurt yet. Except we brought one to the beach and they dont work well with sand.

Yes, according to the U.S. Consumer Products Safely Commision, which published ths warning about the Slip 'n Slide in 1993: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml93/93076.html

Are you even kidding me? Come on guys, what are you saying! Just have fun with this thing! They are SO great and A LOT of fun. Especially if you connect multiple slip an slides. Seriously, if we pay attention to any and EVERY warning that life gives us, we wont have any fun! Just set it up and start sliding :)

My son-in-law, who definitely weighs over 110 pounds, decided it was a good idea to test this. Somehow this resulted in his knee being cut open to the bone, requiring over 50 stitches and several days missed from work.

Don't listen to them. Just go for it!
