  • Sir Isaac Newton ,beyond a doubt, the man that many of the leading scientists believe was the greatest scientist of all time Sir Isaac Newton wrote what physicist Stephen Hawking called “probably the most important single work ever published in the physical sciences”, his Philosophiae Naturalis Princpia Mathematica. The man that many believe was the greatest scientist of all time was very concerned about Christ’s coming. The Bible was Sir Isaac’s greatest passion - he wrote more about religion than about science and mathematics! Indeed, Newton calculated the date of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ as April 3, A.D. 33 and the earliest date of the Apocalypse as 2060 A.D. Whether you believe that Newton is right or wrong about the end of the world, consider another one of his predictions that came true: that the Jews would return to Israel.
  • Archimedes simply for his screw mechanism. http://math.nyu.edu/~crorres/Archimedes/Screw/SourcesScrew.html
  • i think galileo was ace an then einstein cos his theories just blew my mind! oh an newton an faraday were pretty good too
  • Albert Einstein most definantly.
  • Hands down...Tesla. Read his bio...amazing!!
  • I don't know about "Greatest" but heres one I haven't seen here yet Nicola Tesla was far, far advanced for his time. I think he was 200 years ahead of his time and thus, a lot of his inventions were thrown aside as being weird or not practical. He didn't get the respect he deserved as a scientist and inventor. He invented AC current, the induction motor, the radio, the TESLA coil, and tons of other things.
  • Greatest? Its gotta be Newton. Inventor of calculus, discoverer of gravity and 2nd most intelligent person in history.
  • to me i have no scientist that i like and famous but i like invention ex : dynamite created by Nobel .
  • Tesla is the greatest.
  • My first thought was Nikola Tesla, but I think I'd have to say Archimedes. Not really a scientist in the strictest sense, but still an impressive man.
  • Let it be Issac Newton or Tesla or Galileo... All these great men, discovered what was there.. They saw what others saw, they heard what others heard, they felt what others felt, but they did what others didn't do. But Albert Einstein, saw what no one saw, heard what no one heard, and felt what no one felt and did what anyone ever did. While others saw space, he is the one who saw beyond space and time... Einstein is the greatest scientist till now and forever.
