Just local rides to places of interest, nothing long distance. A motorcycle doesn't have a trunk for lugging along things needed for an extended trip. I took a ride to a fair and on the way home we had mechanical (electrical) trouble and we rode along a dimly lit mountainside with no headlight. It's hard to describe the feeling of having to vomit inside of a full face helmet on a hot summer night.

Yes I have. We have toured rather close to home and wold love to do some long distance trips like across country or even with two bikes, to Canada and Alaska. We have a touring bike and from many years of backpacking, really know how to pack light. It is possible for the two of to stay out for a week or two but we do have to stay in motels. We would like to try to find a way to camp and ride but it is hard to do two-up and we prefer to be together as opposed to separate bikes. He likes me behind him and I enjoy it better, too. Given a great after market seat and a Roadmasater suit or Frog Togs, and we're good to go:-)

Yes. In 1979, I was hitch hiking from Red Deer, Alberta to Vancouver, B.C. and got a ride with a bike gang going from Calgary to Vancouver. In 1986, I rode a 1985 Yamaha YX600S from Red Deer, Alberta south to Montana, then west through Idaho into Washington, then south to visit my sister in Portland, Oregon ... and back. Also, in 1986, I joined the Alberta "Ride for Sight" to raise funds for the blind (a lot of bikers gets bugs in the eyes and go blind). In 1987, I also rode the same bike up the Alaska Highway and Dempster Highway to Eagle Plains, Yukon Territories.

Yes I did. From the time I lived in Arkansas I rode with a bunch of buds up to Sturgis, SD and the big bike rally there in South Dakota in 2000. Riding a Harley through the Black Hills of South Dakota and the open expanses of Wyoming was awesome. Being around thousands of bikers that dominated the road at that time was great. They'd do anything for another biker. I want to do it again but with travel in my job I don't know when I'll be able to do that again.

Yes, once a month or two, and can't wait for the next one! I ride a bagger, experience has taught me how to pack light, and before my hubby has finished saying the word "bike" I'm already dressed and ready to ride!

Have ridden from Ohio to Daytona 3 times. I go to a rally 4 hours away every year on Labor day weekend. Planning on going to Sturgis in '09.

Yes, it was amazing. My first time on the back of a motorcycle and we went to Whistler for the weekend. My butt was numb, but it was an awesome experience. The coolest thing that I didn't know, is that cold streams of air come down from the mountains in certain areas. We would be driving alot sweating in the sun, then drive through a blast of cool air. Something you don't notice in a car.

Yes, I have for forty years and still do. Attached is a picture of one of my old bikes and me. Three times coast to coast on that one.
