I'm going to be going to San Francisco within the next couple of weeks. Any decent, fairly inexpensive hotels that you can recommend?

look for hotels/motels on lombard street...the street has several affordable places to stay! you could also stay at the hostel in north beach if you really want to save!

Hey! I was just in San Francisco in June and stayed at Hotel Fusion. It is right near Union Station, so pretty central to all the public transport, cable cars, shopping, whatever. Also just a busride away to other cool neighborhoods. It was affordable (about $75 per night on Expedia.com) and very clean. No A/C, but we didn't really need it with the cool San Fran breeze! Have fun!
