  • puzzle piece picture frame .... get a brightly colored puzzle, 2 bottles of glue and 2 picture frames. let the kids glue the puzzle pieces around the edges of the frame and then let them pick out which pictures they want to put inside.
  • make pudding and put various colors of food coloring into it, in small bowls. Then let them fingerpaint with it on paper, tables, or each other. (sticky but fun)
  • Have you tried doing paper mache? White school glue mixed 50/50 with water and flour and newspaper strips make excellent projects. Bend up coathangers and some cheap wire to make frames to cover or blow up a balloon and cover those, putting a pin prick in the balloon after it has all dried. Let them paint and decorate what they have made with anything you have around the house. Or put one large squirt of shaving cream gel into a sandwich bag. Let them pick out a food coloring color, add a few drops and seal the bag with as little air as possible. Double bag it. Let them squish the bag until the gel becomes a foamy cream and have them mix the drops of color into the white to make a cool feeling toy.
