Common sense is the rarest of all senses. Mos mistakes of the human kind is for lack of common sense. Even the government doesn´t have it.
-
Common sense, because it's hard to get thru life w/o it.
-
Ideally a nice mix of both, but if I could only have one, it would be common sense. You can get through life better with only common sense than you could with book smarts.
-
common sense. all the book smarts in the world won't keep you from getting conned or lied to or misled.

Common Sense + 5

Common sense. You can have all the book learning in the world and be helpless if you cannot apply it.
-
Common sense is a must!

You can't carry a book around with you ALL the time, better to have some common smarts as well.

Common sense !! I've known some highly educated people who have absolutely no common sense.

common sense- you can make good judgement if you have common sense

I think common sense comes with a bit of street smarts first. Sure you can read as many books as you want but you have to expirence shit in life to have lived and the smartest thing you can be in the real world is street smart so I would def. Say Common sense.

Without a doubt common sense. Being book smart is great, but when a person lacks common sense that tends to include the ability to interact with people, manners, and a host of things that you don't learn from books. Things that unfortunatly a lot of people lack, and given the ability to choose one I would choose common sense.
-
Common sense is of more use but I think it is rarer among the book smart people.
-
I've found that it's much easier to have and keep friends if you excercise common sense. I feel that without friends, it really doesn't matter how smart you are.
-
common sense...there are some things a book just can't teach you
-
Common sense; and why it's called that...who knows?! It's not really common!
-
common sence
-
My father always said common sense was more important.

I know people with both, either and neither! If I have to choose, I choose "common sense" because you don't have to keep explaining things to them. Seems like it would be the other way around, but some people are so smart "book-wise" they have no idea how to do simple things. Things many people take for granted.
