  • You could wash the shirt in soap and water then hang it to dry on a plastic hanger.
  • You could cut out the arm pit area of the shirt and sew a new patch on or stick some velcro around that area and the same stuff on the patch so it can easily be removed. You'll never have to worry about your stinky sweaty disgusting putrid arm pits again. HA HA HA! Alternatively you can purchase a product called Indiu Magic, created by Dr. Gallagher, and spray that on the areas as well as your arm pits. The best non toxic deoderizer I know of. I use it myself. He's based in Sunnyvale, California.
  • If the article of clothing is dry clean only *and* you don't want to send it out for cleaning (as you stated in one comment), that eliminates a very effective method of eliminating the odour. A good alternate is to hang the article outside for the day, when it is bright, sunny, and there is a mild breeze. Sunlight and fresh air work wekk to eliminate odours. Outdoors clotheslines worked very well for centuries - it's a shame we have forgotten them. And it's cheap, too.
