  • The answer to that is no.Every organism has a unique genetic makeup which makes it resistant to some diseases while remaining susceptible to others. For example, the mosquito which is a vector or carrier of the malaria pathogen is itself immune to it,while the humans it infects are not. Dogs on the other hand are prone to get affected by a disease called distemper, which does not affect humans. Most of the diseases caused by microrganisms are host specific, and require a particular kind of host. Many animals having similar charecteristics can be affected by a particular organism, like how the AIDS virus affects primates but does not affect other animals. Similarly there are many diseases of plants like rust, etc that does not affect any animals including man. Thus it's the genetic constitution, physical & biophysical makeup, and finally the entire metabolism of an organism that makes it resistant or more prone to a disease.
