  • So, did you totally cut carbs from your diet? If that's so, then I am afraid, you have run yourself into deep trouble. Carbs are the primary source of energy in our bodies. If you continue to shun them from your diet, body's carb deposits deplete. You go out of energy. Fatigue, fainting are some of the common symptoms of this kind of thing. Go rescue yourself -- sip a Gatorade now!
  • If you are going to do Atkins, follow the book. You may just be dehydrated, don't cut out water!
  • In my opinion, this is a dangerous diet. My sister tried this diet. She cut out carbs and sugars for a long time. Than one day she decided to have a few beers and she passed out and had to go to the hospital. They said she had low energy and was making herself sick and weak with the diet. Also, I think you may be losing the weight too fast. 16 lbs. in 2 weeks is way too much. I'd stop the diet and try something else that isnt considered a fad diet. Talk to a nutritionist or your doc for suggestions.
  • The doctor recommended rate of weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week. Losing wieght as rapidly as you are is going to wreak havoc on your body. It could be you've cut out too many carbs or too much protien, both needed for energy. It could be you're not getting enough overall nutrition and your body's suffering. At any rate, slow down the wieght loss, take in a balanced amount of calories and exercise moderately. Let you body adjust to the change while remaining healthy. If your symptoms persist, you should consider calling your doctor.
  • You answered your own question. You already know the cause of the problem.
