rumor is, is that he stays in hotels and has his crew build a lot of the suff he uses. The episode where he was "stranded" on a deserted island, the island was part of hawaii and he slept in a hotel room. there are many more allegations as well

No, but before I heard this I liked Survivorman better anyway, he's not a walking survival handbook, he has no crew so he's totally alone and gets the same psycological effects a real lost hiker would, and he doesn't get free rope from his parachute cords every time.
