I don't bear in mind anything. I just write what I wanna say.

Be polite and respectful..don't attack, even if you "hate" what someone else said..just state your position in words that are not antagonistic or insulting to anyone else. You'll do just fine. :)

The most important thing is to be respectful and polite.

CAPSLOCK COMES ACROSS AS YELLING. Some people just don't get it.

Before posting (or speaking), speech should meet 3 qualifications: * Is it true? * Is it kind? * Is it necessary? If speech doen't meet those qualifications, one might consider saying nothing at all.

I write what comes to mind ...sometimes that edit button disappears too fast though.....

There are a few things that should be kept in one's head before commenting on a comment: 1. Make sure you address your comment to the user who's comment you wish to comment on, otherwise it can become confusing for the answerer and other participants in the comment thread who are unsure what you're referring to. 2. Read through your comment for spelling and/or grammar mistakes. 3. Try not to use 'txt spk' and refrain from leaving the caps lock on, as these can sometimes make your comment difficult to understand. 4. Occasionally comments can be misinterpreted. The problem is that typed messages lack voice tone and body language. To avoid confusion and possibly offending others it's often best to supplement joking and sarcastic comments with emoticons unless you know the other user well enough to understand how they'll react. 5. If a comment has really got you riled and you're replying to it before hitting the 'post comment' button, think about what you've put. Sometimes in the heat of the moment it's very easy to post a comment which you will regret later. It's important to remember when in a debate, overtly aggressive posts and personal attacks as well as swearing weaken your position. You are far more likely to get others to see your point of view if you demonstrate restraint (even when others resort to personal attacks) and show respect for everyone.

Nothing. Just say what you're feeling at the time. It's only a comment, not a novel.

the question

Here some of those things: 1) I always give the user name of the person that I am addressing at the beginning of my comments. It helps to keep conversation clear, especially if more than just another person is on the thread. 2) Newer comments could be inserted between the last comment and your comment in the where you are writing it. 3) Some comments just don't get posted, so if I write a longer comment, I copy it somewhere before posting, at least to the clipboard. 4) Longer comments can be made by preparing your text in some editor, posting the first few lines as a short comment, and edit this to the longer one. There should still be a length limit, though. Of course, you could use more than one comment to cut your text in shorter elements. 5) The usual rules of netiquette apply like everywhere else (be polite). 6) Comment can just be edited for a few minutes. After this, they will stay. So think a little about what you are writing. 7) If you are in a discussion, you don't have to answer immediately. You don't have to answer altogether, although it might sometimes be more polite. It is better to take your time instead of writing something that you could regret later.
