Help answer this question below.
Everything in Revelations.
I don't think it is a valid book of the bible and should be removed. It's the work of a nut job in my opinion.
Keep the rest because there are no other books that are absolutely insane.
all of it,
example
talking snakes
900 year old people
burning bushes
women turning to salt
2 of every animal on a boat
all language coming from one source
the location of heaven just beyond the stars
the location of hell below the earths crust
Flying babies
virgin birth
the resurection
why we are supposed to "owe god" for jesus giving his life for our sins, only to know jesus was dead for 3 days and has loved ever since in paradise.
How people can hope to live in paradise knowing love ones will be suffering for eternity.
you need more?
I think the bible is full of metaphors and was meant to be taken as so,and not as fact.
1 All the parts that have allowed people to argue for and introduce the concept of the trinity into religion after all the hard work done over thousands of years by eminent personalities like Noah, Abraham and Moses to establish strict monotheism.
2 All the parts that have allowed people to argue for and introduce into religion the concept of the original sin and its inheritance.
3 All the parts that are not Godly and the work of men.
All of it.
Sense? Bible? good one!
the whole thing
God got mad at Adam and Eve because they ate the forbidden fruit. If God knows everything that happened and will happen, why did he get mad because he knew from the beginning of times that it was going to happen?...and....he sent his "only Son", who happens to be himself and the Holy Spirit, all three into one, so he would "die for our Sins", because we carry the Original Sin and we need to be cleaned with his blood... That is 100% nonsense.
how sad for those to think it is the bible's fault they don't understand it. by the same token this question does't deserve an answer. it was not made out of a sincere desire to obtain an answer, but to ridicule God's Word. no wonder this person will never understand the very basic and simple truths the bible teaches, that even a child can understand.
None of it. :)
-In the Master's service.
Thank you and God bless you!
"Creation" and the "flood" and "Sodom and Gomorah", "Jesus", bascialy all that.
One story (among many) that confuses me is the Noahs Ark story.
Why did God want Noah to build an ark for the animals? He (supposedly) created the world in 7 days, why not just save Noah and his kin, then re-create the world.
I cant even get a plumber to come out in 7 days, so for god it should be a cinch, as it would only take one day as all the other stuff was already created.
Sense pertains to logic, and the Good Book says outright that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours, meaning that the problem is not the Bible but our perception of it.
The part between the first and last pages. People who think it is "the word of god" are just plain idiots. It may be a holy book representing peoples interpretation of what god told them, who knows? I personally doubt it. But there is no proof either way. One thing we know for sure is that it was written by PEOPLE! NOT GOD!!!
the whole thing
The part following the first page.
+6
Only those between the front and back cover
Only the parts between the title page and the end of Revelations.
The regression of human nature it instills within the core context of its suggested morality. And that yet nobody seems to mind ripping each other's eyes out and loping off heads in the name of which prophet spoke what truth. Granted, that wasn't in The Bible, though it might as well be for as much of a book of massacres as it is.
Well, most is meant to be metaphorical, so it's not necessary for these stories to adhere to rigorous scientific testing 2K+ years later to provide a measure of comfort and guidance for some folks.
;-)
The parts that have not been opened up to one's understanding.
(Luk 24:31) And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
(Luk 24:32) And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
All of the Bible makes sense. Because the Bible has multiple authors, multiple styles, multiple themes, multiple purposes, multiple time frames, multiple situations, etc careful interpetation is critical.
Parts of the Bible are absolute, parts are situational, parts quote people that the Bible does not approve of, parts express the opinion of man, parts express the opinion of God, parts of the Bible is fufilled prophacy, parts of the Bible are unfufilled prophacy, parts of the Bible are metaphors, etc therefore careful interpetation is critical.
The Bible unlike any other book had been designed to make sense for people in every situation throughout the ages. So far, the Bible has definately stood the test of time.
Paul says it best in 2 Timothy 3:16-17:
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
Because the bible wasn't written by god! It was written by idiot humans! And Jesus was black! Blah blah blah!
It would only make no sense if you jump around from one book to another. the bible has more then one book so take your time read it over and over then decide if it makes no sense. Plus you need to ask God to help you understand not just figure it out.Do it daily and believe me it will change your life!
... all of it.
Most of Genesis, and a lot of Revelations.
most of what paul wrote. most of what john wrote. stuff that's been translated and retranslated to fit in with the times to make it easier for us to abide by. a lot about the trinity - o wait that's not in there - god having a "son" that's eternal when they say he was begotten - which implies it wasn't eternal. the belief that he had a son that christians worship when you're only supposed to worship one - the creator, but somehow that doesn't break the 10 commandments...
i await the (-) points....
You just claimed to be humble and if you are that's good. Instead of doing good things to show someone the love of christ, why don't you do things for people to show them the love from yourself? Why do people choose to do things for christ when so many things need to be done regardless of christ. Christ is nothing but a character and people should be good to one another without having to read a book.
Pretty much everything if you take it literally.
A great deal of it, unfortunately, especially the Old Testament.
A non fictional book can make no sense at all.
everything makes sense...with interpretation
The ones that a person hasn't studied very much about.
Simple as that.
how many books do you understand the first time you read through them?
Revalation
Entire book about a Prostitute in Babylon
it all makes sense to me..NOW ...didn't for many years...
there are some interesting stories ... othere than that i dont follow
I can speak only for myself. I think all of the Bible makes sense when read as a whole work and not cherry-picked bits and pieces like it's critics do to try to make their opinion more valid.
the part inbetween the cover.
The part between the covers.
99% of it!
Only the ones between the front and the back cover. All others make perfect sense
all of it...
There are no parts that make no sense.
it is the Word of God.
If we don't understand it, it's our fault. The Bible makes perfect sense.
All the new Creation Science information that has come to light in the past few years makes evolutionists frightened to have it taught in schools alongside the outdated notion of evolution. The evolutionists don't want debates because they can't win.
Oh! A part that goes from the words "In the beginning" en the book of Genesis and continues all through until the word "amen" at the end of the book of Revelations.
If the Bible makes sense to me or not, does not witness of the Bible's validity, it witnesses more of my capability to understand. If I only understand what is needed to obtain eternal life, then the rest will become clearer the further I get along this road of a saved person. When I was a child, most books of adult knowledge were totally nonsense to me. All that stuff of intercourse and pregnancy did not make any sense to me. When I developed myself,i got some more understanding of what was written in those books. Even now there are areas in economics and science that intrigues me a lot, but I would not be able to explain it to you. So I put it that the moment you start to believe, you grow spiritually and bit by bit the whole bible will come to life in your understanding.
All of it.
all of it.
The last one is just flippin' weird.
the biggest fault of the christian bible is it doesnt name the creator. God is incomplete and not a name or a title. it is a space filler for people too lazy to ask and find out what His sacred Name really is. I refuse to worship a Capital G God. Jesus Christ is Greek and that makes the whole of christianity a Greek Religion. Yeshua and Yahweh have better roots and mean more than the Greek translation. Yeshua is a Jew, and he is not a christian.
The part about making Man.

You're reading Which parts of the bible make absolutely no sense whatsoever?
Comments
the book of Revelations is right in line with all of the other apocalyptic writings of the Old Testament, for example see Daniel, especially chapter 7. Just because you don't understand the book doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. It is difficult to understand, but it is possible if you have an understanding of the Christian faith, especially as it applies to the end times and the heavenly rhelms. You should consult a reliable commentary on the book to help you understand it.
by smsedmc on September 11th, 2007
If I don't understand it, then it means it doesn't make sense to me...
by Dartag on January 18th, 2008
Exactly.
It's just a weird and ridiculous book
that just doesn't fin in with the other ones.
by Kevisaurus is a Carnotaurus today on January 19th, 2008
the question was what doesn't make sense, it doesn't say that it is relative to your experience in reading it. It makes sense, it's just that you don't understand it.
by smsedmc on January 19th, 2008
But I'm only going to know what doesn't make sense to me...there's people who claim that the entire bible makes sense, so since it makes sense to at least one person, does that mean that this entire discussion thread is irrelevant?
by Dartag on January 19th, 2008
Their are so many interpretations of Revelation with symbols, it is hard to tell what is correct.
by Scottix on February 20th, 2008

Only if you are a completely barking.... what rational person would ever take seriously a book written by some old men who were sent tonto in the desert
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 4th, 2008
a rational person. a lot of the things said in revelations have already come true
by angelzz on October 4th, 2008
You could open any book and rationalise anything.... picking events to suit so called prophecy is an old and tested tradition by religious apologists
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 4th, 2008
it's not to suit.
you should buy the Macarthur commentary Bible.
it's not to suit..it's fact. The events don't suit the Bible, the Bible suits the events.
by angelzz on October 5th, 2008
Oh they do, huh? Name 5 events that have 'come true', that cannot be explained rationally?
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 5th, 2008
still nothing after 3 days
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 11th, 2008
oh hello! i was actually gone all weekend at a youth retreat and got back late sunday. I'm actually running a little behind today so i'll post some Bible verses later on. well, we believe of the coming of the antichrist and that he will reign in israel but also rule the whole world eventually. and a temple has already been started in israel for the returning of the "messiah". here's what TIME magazine says. i'll post some more....
To the true believers, that seems less a threat than the fulfillment of a promise. "If we keep our eyes on Israel, we will know about the return of Christ," says Oleeta Herrmann, 77, of Xenia, Ohio. "Everything that is happening—wars, rumors of war—in the Middle East is happening according to Scripture." Herrmann is a member of the End-Time Handmaidens and Servants, a group of global missionaries who preach the Gospel with an emphasis on End Times teachings. Sept. 11 is proof of her belief that the Second Coming of Christ is "closer than it ever has been,
by angelzz on October 13th, 2008
We have wars and atrocities since time immemorial, simply placing modern events into prophecy has been done many time, some came close to being coincidental, most never came true.
So called true believers have always wished for the end of days, mostly due to their ignorance and failure to face facts
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 13th, 2008
I shall await the 5 events with interest, I do like to debunk stupidity
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 13th, 2008
heeey, that wasn't very nice. but anyway. i'm back...sorda...hectic schedule but anyway lets see here. i got a couple things but i need to find the verses for support. but heres what i have for now.
a LOT of the prophecies in revelations talk about what still is to happen.
i;ve never fully read revelations but its about how God showed basically the whole future to John. a lot is about the antichrist. the macarthur commentary version is awesome because it explains the verse..
revelations 6:14 talks about how every land was moved out of place and now every land is really moving out of place, different coasts and everything.
so revelations 16:9 and 11 talk about how God would punish the people but they still wouldn't repent. meaning unbelievers still refuse to repent
other things. are hunger, and also there is something about time changes.
ugh, i don't know when i'll get the time but i'll get it. thanks for your patience
by angelzz on October 15th, 2008
Lands moving..... that would be a geological phenomena that has been well documented, has to do with shifting plates and continental drift.
God punishing people..... well, if he is punishing people, he punishes the innocent along with the supposed guilty, or are natural disasters actually part of the earths weather patterns, pollution and other factors?
Hunger.... starvation and famine has been with the human race for millenia, it is not a recent thing. Much of it caused by the greed of the 10 percent of the worlds population stripping the resources of the other 90%.
3 examples, with easily explained reasons
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 15th, 2008
Great point Steel.
by Don Gorgeous George on October 17th, 2008
sorry I haven't been on lately. that's right Steel, lots of things have been around for a long time, but their rates have increased. Poverty shot up in the US. anyway you asked for 5 "events" or prophecies, heres more.
but i just wanted to let you know..I don't live by the prophecies. I don't have them listed and mark them off whenever they occur. I live knowing that I am Forgiven and am His.
1. False Bible teachers would be money hungry. They would be smooth talkers, have many followers, and slur the Christian faith (2 Peter 2:1-3).

2. Mankind would be capable of destroying all life (Matthew 24:21-22). Consider that when Jesus made this prediction the armaments of His day were swords and spears. But today, with nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, it is possible to wipe out all flesh on planet earth.

1. I'm not a smooth talking evangelist and I slur religion all the time, as I now live in the 21st century and not in the middle ages, where even having an opposing opinion would see you murdered.
2. The Romans had the power to destroy all life on the then known earth, empires rise and fall, not a lot changes.
3. To use an old Christian trick, you cannot blame science if man chooses to misuse it. Science enlightens the mind, religion closes the mind
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 23rd, 2008
I never said you were a "smooth-talker", no need to get moody.
nowadays there are a LOT of those people that claim to be Christian, but theyre not!! it disgusts me. they invest in the money that people give to the church and they buy themselves jets and stay in thousand dollar hotels. they live in mansions. they are NOT men of God and brainwash people.
i'll be sure to get you more info on that.
:)
by angelzz on October 23rd, 2008
Yeah my advice to christians; don't give money to people who claim to be doing the work of God, but instead give your tithes and gifts to the organizations who have been proven to be legit. Personally I think that the most important thing is making sure that every tribe of people in the world have enough food and water to survive. They also need to have medicine and education on how to protect themselves from from hardships that can be avoided. Honestly, what good does preaching the gospel do if people's need aren't met first? First things first.

amen Mr. JDMacaB.
my church helps the needy in OUR church and at the same time, we go on missionaries EVERY year to the other side of the globe! we preach the word of God, at the same time providing shelter and food for the people.
about false prophets a great example is Benny Hinn. He speaks in tongues and is a FRAUD!! so many people believe this dangerous man while he wastes the money that they give him, pampering himself!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60gbG3f_Hzw

by angelzz on October 26th, 2008
When I used to be a christian, I trusted in the Lord. I trusted Him with my life and soul. I decided that I wanted to give all of my saved up earnings at the time to the church. This was to be a one time thing that I thought that the Word of God was telling me to do. So I found Benny Hinn on TV and sent him a ridiculous amount of money. I was thrilled to be doing good works for the Lord's purpose and thought He would be pleased with me. Then I found out that Benny Hinn is a fraud, only in it for the money. I was very upset. That next day I got a reduction in pay from my job. I could not figure out why the Lord didn't protect me from throwing away my money. I was a wreck. Where was He? Where were His angles? I didn't understand why He didn't warn me about Benny Hinn. This event in my life was one of the first major steps towards my rejection of christianity, the Lord, God, and the holy spirit. Was God just too busy to make sure that didn't happen or what? Then why would He allow me to get a reduction in pay? I began making about a third less than I had been making. I felt like He wasn't there. I am over all of that and will not ever give christianity another chance. Too many things have gone wrong when I put my trust in the Lord.
by Don Gorgeous George on October 26th, 2008
What Christians would say to that is he is testing you. It is like what kind of messed up God places you on the Earth that is already corrupt and you try to believe in him, but he doesn't give you good things and doesn't protect you. He leaves no traces of him ever existing. Religious people make you push problems to the side and not deal with them personally (some of the most depressed people I have ever met were Christians). Then you say he is a loving God? Hard to find the love in that. Anyway I was just reading the school newspaper about self-fulfilling prophecies and found it relevant to this thread. That religious people try everything to make it seem like it relates to the Bible. If that is true I might as well join Scientology for that matter. HAHA.
by Scottix on October 27th, 2008
Yeah man, it's like christians always have an answer for every thing that happens. There is always an excuse for everything. Their "God" can get away with anything He wants. If something good happens, "praise God", if something bad happens, "it's only a test of faith", or "it's the work of the devil". If a prayer goes unanswered, " it must not have been God's will". It's all a bunch of shit. This God doesn't exist as a real being. They have so much to say about how their God is the greatest thing in all existence, and they have so many different lines for everything that happens to cover up the nonexistence of God without even realizing they are doing it. "911 was just a test of a faith", or "God let that girl be raped to prove that we have free will". It's widespread insanity, and this insanity is acceptable to most people! It is the norm!! WTF
by Don Gorgeous George on October 27th, 2008
Like if someone loses a child very young, god was only 'bringing him or her to HIM early' cold comfort indeed
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 27th, 2008
I would urge those who realise the god myth, to go to the rational response website, its full of great articles and vids on atheism
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 27th, 2008
reading this just hurts me. why does God all of a sudden need to be this creator where he makes life perfect for everyone???? WE are nothing!! why do we question and MOCK his authority?? He does and will provide and yes he DOES test people, but i do believe people have already overused that phrase. he uses the broken. It is EXTREMELY hard for me to be a Christian because wherever i go, there will ALWAYS be someone against me! that is because of the those fraud brainwashes and other people that make up untrue things. Christianity is supposed to be Biblical based not saying that rape is an act of free will!!! and Mr. JDMacaB, I am EXTREMELY sorry that you had to get wrapped up in the Hinn's evil works...extremely sorry. most "christians" that host shows or preach on tv are fraud..not all, but most..u can tell because they are not Biblical based and are just..freaky. also, because speaking in tongues has long been not used by christians.
by angelzz on October 27th, 2008
Christians garner the same respect from me as give soothsayers, astrologers and tea-leaf readers. It has no credibilty.
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 27th, 2008
But Christianity is not about life being perfect. In fact, once you become a christian, it seems life gets all the harder because of the many temptations. and while being not spiritually stable, its is very hard.
Hinn will one day get his punishment for his filthy life misleading others.
so anyway....going back to answerbag...please do not use foul language, thankyou for your thoughts. I'm always interested in having a conversation of life or ..anything really. I'm still "getting to know" life and am always interested what others think.

i don't cuss or swear just because, in my opinion, it cheapens you.
my family is well respected where I live and me...cussing???
I don't think so. And yes..I do try to control my emotions once in a while, so it helps...
and no offense...I didn't know anyone over 40 used the term "lol"
by angelzz on October 27th, 2008
Its just a web expression, and what does age have to do with anything? Anyway, I'd like to know where I was 'cussing' (what a quaint parochial term)
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 27th, 2008
I am sorry it hurt you so much but that is what we are saying it doesn't make sense. There is no basis for Religion. You can say The Bible, but doing the history on it shows it is not fully credible. We are not saying good things can't come out of religion because it does provide some good moral values. That is better than not having them. Also you say Hinn will get his punishment, How evil is that to wish on someone. The Bible says love your neighbors and love your enemies. This is another contradiction that can be brought up. That is primarily the problem I have with religion in that it is impossible. You try so hard only to fail in everything you do. I agree it is not about being perfect but you are trying to live a perfect life, to get in the pearly gates, but that is selfish. Every time you fail with religion. Depression and sorrow follow instead of living a good life and being happy with what you are doing.
by Scottix on October 27th, 2008
Sums it up nicely I think Scottix. My addendum is, for someone so young to be so sure, makes me very sad indeed
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 27th, 2008
thankyou Scottix. It IS wrong of me to judge. Although I do not wish for his death, I more sorrow for it. Actually the Bible DOES contain credibility. Even in my history books at school!!! the talked about the different kings and geography back then, which all fit into the time periods.
It's necessary to have faith in christianity, though...that's what it's all about! :)
and again steelhamster, nice talking to you. Maybe cussing may be a quaint term for you, yet "lol" isn't. I AM only 15 so at this age I pretty much have all the rights to say "cuss"...that doesn't matter though. No, you didn't use foul language, much appreciation for that. But, I was referring to Mr. JD...
............there are some really cool books about the Bible's credibility by the way, in case anyone's interested.

Angelzz, I admire your energy and compassion. I have given "God" enough of my effort and have finally realized that He DOES NOT exist. I am not bitter about my losses, and I accept those events as a learning experience. From a loving heart, I am grateful that people are always against you. That means that there are some people who care enough to let you in on the truths of life. Although some are mean and disrespectful, others want you to live life fully without unnecessary psychological restrictions. The bible is a great story book with many good lessons and advice, but there is just as much negative stuff in it. The God of the old testament was at times worse than any criminal I've ever heard of. I have a problem with trusting my life to someone like that.

by steelhamster@aol.com on October 29th, 2008
I live for today, and look forward to tomorrow.
by Don Gorgeous George on October 29th, 2008
but then what is their to look forward to????
i live my life trying to glorify God, for what he has done.
Helping out my "neighbors" and looking forward to one day, sharing eternity with him.
if i have nothing to look forward to..then why would i even live?
by angelzz on October 29th, 2008
I live for my self first, then other people. I live to help me and to help other people in this life. I want to live the best life that I can. I am not selfish in wanting to live an eternity. Seems rather boring to me actually. I live to know one day I will be fertilizer for animals some day.
by Scottix on October 29th, 2008
but that's the whole point of grace. to think that i don't even deserve to be in eternity with Him, yet he shows his mercy and grace to grant that to me.
it's not selfish, I'm more humbled by it.
I don't know..i still don't get what to live for then.
i don't want to live for myself...if i want to help people out as the main thing in my life..i'd rather live for them, not me.
1 Timothy 5:8
But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
John 13:34-35
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
by angelzz on October 29th, 2008
angelzz, I hate to break it to you but the christian / jewish God has never shown mercy or grace to you. The God you believe in isn't a real being! It's good that you are humbled. Reciting scriptures does no good at all. It all means nothing. Satanists and atheists love one another too, but our love is stronger because we don't just throw it around, but instead love when it feels right to do so. We have the advantage in life because we are grateful to have been given life, and we know that one day we will all die. So we use that knowledge as motivation to enjoy this gift of life more fully, everyday we are alive. We question those who say they know what is truth or what is best for us, and figure these things out for ourselves, because many people just live as they are told and do not have free minds. They are just replicas of past faulty people who can't be trusted. They are useless for anything truly good. Let's stop making the same mistakes.

Again you telling yourself you are unworthy, why do you bow down to a ruler that is so benevolent. I don't understand. This is a typical Christian attitude that lead to so much depression. You have to take care of yourself, before you can handle other people's problems. I am not saying don't help other people just be careful by too much help. Most Christians order stuff this way; God, Others, self. Putting yourself last is the worst thing you can do. Basically sacrificing yourself for other people.

i'm so confused. First I'm marked as selfish, and then "too" humble.
Scripture is actually the most important thing is chritianity. I enjoy reading it, it mirrors my life and I see what I can fix in my life.
And who said I'm not grateful, the whole point is that I am grateful. that's why I'm humbled by it, because i know that i don't deserve it. Because i am granted my life i try to live it the most i can,.i know one day I will die, we all will. That makes me want to do the most i can and not do stupid things, but instead things that matter. And i dont understand how i could be useless. i don't go around on a bike testifying to people. First you have to help out a person with their physical needs, they see the love of Christ that way, that people care about them. I help out at the local homeless shelter, it's first about providing, only then they listen and understand. Yes, I'm not worthy, but that makes me grateful and enjoy life even more..I have joy, i don't living beneath a tyrant
by angelzz on October 29th, 2008
I don't see how unworthy and joy fit in the same sentence. You are a courageous person. I admire that, more than what I can do. One day you will look at all the stuff you do for people and you will be screaming for someone to help you. It is a vicious cycle. Until that day comes only then you will understand what I am talking about.
by Scottix on October 29th, 2008
I am puzzled as to why you feel the need for homeless people to 'understand' your religion. Shouldn't a selfless act be worthy in itself without having string attached. If I was homeless and hungry, I would feel rather patronised by having to listen to a lecture on Christianity just for the price of a meal.
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 30th, 2008
But don't you think that since i helped so many people (though never enough)
that when i'm in distress, help will come my way??? Well that's the whole beauty of christianity. Whenever i need help i can go to any of my brothers and sisters (in Christ) and they will always provide with prayer support and basically whatever else I need. We support each other.
No, it's not about lecturing at all. They're curious themselves. How someone could spend their Saturday helping out "failures" like them. They feel that nobody cares, but once they see that somebody is willing to help and show the love towards them, they're just boggled. Sometimes..it's actions that speak louder than words.
by angelzz on October 30th, 2008
I used to work with the homeless, purely through an ethical need to help a fellow human being. There was no philosophical price tag attached
by steelhamster@aol.com on October 30th, 2008
I'm not there to do preaching. i'm there to help and spread God's love. sometimes, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS

I give you a new commandment:
Love one another;
just as I have loved you,
you also must love one another. (John 13:34)
by angelzz on November 5th, 2008
Who is God? Why do you claim that love belongs to "God". When has this "God" ever loved anyone?
by Don Gorgeous George on November 5th, 2008
He loves all of mankind.
I don't understand why you try to take my faith away from me. I have joy, not happiness...joy !! in serving the Lord, God almighty. Why do you try to take that away from me ? If you're so curious..why don't you just try it out for yourself.
john 15:13
"Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
(Exodus 34:5-7 NIV) Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD. {6} And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, {7} maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation."

I've read the bible, gone to church, prayed and donated ridiculous amounts of money. I've been a christian for over 5 years of my life. Again, you recite the words of men. SIN DOES NOT EXIST!! Jesus is a man made character like Jack from Jack and Jill. I want you to reconsider what you have dedicated your life to, because I know from experience that it is not real. If you really feel so strongly about your faith and feel that you are 100% correct, I want you to check out a website known as Zeitgeist.com. This is a test of your faith. Do you truly believe? If you do, then go to this site, and click on the movie on the right hand side. Watch the whole first part that talks about Jesus which is less than an hour in the first part of the film. It costs no money to see. Good luck in your journey. :-)
by Don Gorgeous George on November 5th, 2008
I've heard of that film and actually have seen parts of it on youtube. there is the 2007 and 2008 versions. It's about the unfair money system and they also make fun of Christians, really all religions. Sin DOES exist. So please don't try to alter my faith or tempt me or anything. I don't need some film to assure me of my salvation. It's also funny because i actually don't know if it's in the actually film but on youtube there were some side videos about it and the one world union idea. the one world order. The Bible is over 200 years old!! It was inspired By God and written by the disciples of Jesus. It really is old and yet one of the prophecies are about that!!
There would be a move toward a global government. (Daniel 2:40-44; 7:23, Revelation 13:7-8) The former Roman Empire- which encompassed present-day Europe would revive and eventually dominate the world. The European Union has steadily moved forward in its attempt to unite Europe politically and economically. It has succm

Good that you notice that. You have been studying more than the average christian. I'm sure you are unaware that the bible was written by the Jews to elevate their place in life. You worship a God who originally chose one group of people to be the most righteous, just because of their blood, not their hearts. Then one day God does a 180 and sends Jesus, a Jew, to die for our "sins". How funny that the Jews don't even recognize their own messiah. Perhaps it's because they wrote the new testament too! It's all a plan created by a group of people who came together thousands of years ago to take over the world. They are known today as Jews. Jesus encourages people to turn the other cheek which allows them to get away with almost whatever they want without much resistance. It's people like you who are as responsible for not fighting back, and instead you turn the other cheek and hope in a dead guy to come save you, while preaching unconditional love and forgiveness. So now we have a bunch of deluded believers in christ who expect the book of revelations to come true while sitting back waiting for a fairy tale character to come save you! Those with the most power are aware of your people's expectations and know how they can advance their plans without being noticed. The new world order was all made possible by ignorant christians who are truly like sheep in their minds. Good job!!

Yeah it is sad that they didn't accept Him. But if you think about it..we all don't accept Him. I want you to check this out.

A global economic system would exist (Revelation 13:16-17). This was unthinkable in the apostle John's day. Yet today, globalists in every level of government are seeking to unite the world. Connecting the world monetarily is crucial to their goal.
About the microchip, the Bible speaks of it. except it's called "the beast" and says it will dominate the people.

The bible speaks of receiving the number 666. It says nothing about the microchip. Religious people are always looking for things to validate their biblical scriptures. What are the believers doing to stop this? Or are they just patiently waiting for their messiah to come and take care of everything? If you want me to check out your links, you must first watch the whole thing about Jesus in Zeitgeist. It is about 45 minutes long of so, but well worth your time.
by Don Gorgeous George on November 5th, 2008
666 is the chip its the "beast"
I watched enough of it on youtube, i think that i watched practically all of it and even talk shows on it.
I'm not trying to validate anything...it's what it is.
you don't have to watch the videos..it's only about the chip. it will not only affect christians, it will affect all people..even you
by angelzz on November 5th, 2008
The chip may be a reality, but why do people pretend that it is the sign of the beast? Yeah I think that the chip is a horrible idea, but why do you people pretend like the prophets or whatever goon characters of the bible predicted it? It sounds to me that your kind is trying to validate their bible anyway possible.
by Don Gorgeous George on November 5th, 2008
Wow those videos are dangerous. If you believe any of that stuff, I am not sure I could ever take you serious. All of those are based on superstition and do not provide any real facts. Why do you bring such fear in to your life? Have you lost hope to all mankind? Save yourself because in 10, 20, 30+ years I will still be sitting on my couch.
by Scottix on November 5th, 2008
this BOOK is the Omega and the Bible would not be complete without it..John was the disciple "whom Jesus loved". GOD permitted Jesus to reveal these EVENTS to come of Jesus life to John, an angel was sent to explain the meaning...VALID it is as verse 1 & 2 explain ...ignorance (not knowing)is not at all a bad thing, but Jesus did leave the message to all 7 fellowships (HIS) to "Let those who can HEAR, HEAR.."
it strongly tells of the signs and warnings of how the world will be before HE comes...and how HE will put and END to the WICKED....

Why do people believe that Jesus was a perfect being when the bible proves that his father was a sinner? How can good fruit come from a bad tree?
by Don Gorgeous George on January 25th, 2009
If you look at the history of the bible, you will find that even the Church fathers, when compiling the bible did not want to include Revelations. Eusebius, coined as the Father of Church History, was it's most fervent opponent arguing that it was not written by an apostle/early disciple and varied greatly with many of the other books. Many believe that the book was written by John, the Apostle, but Eusebius points out that the original book of Revelations was written in very poor Koine (common Greek) whereas all of the other books penned by John, including the Gospel, were written in very, very good Koine. In the end, however, even Eusebius was convinced to vote to add it into the canon, because the Chruch at this time (in the 4th and 5th centuries) was dealing with a worried congregation who originally thought that the "second coming" would occur very shortly after Jesus's "ascension" but apparently didn't. They believed Revelation would keep the people faithful to the Church.
