Moral character is a catchall phrase to indicate a set of behavior that an employer does not want associated with their business. They usually discriminate against these behaviors because they feel that they would reflect badly on the business and would, therefore, drive away customers. Most often these behaviors have to do with sexuality. For example, your nursing home might object to one of its employees moonlighting as a stripper or posing for Playboy especially if said employee used their work uniform in this activity.
