  • i don't remember mine be particularly more painful than any other cartilage piercings i have. make sure to keep it very clean though. since it sort of sits in folds of the skin, gunk builds up easily there. mine is very healed (i've had it for over six years) and i still have to use a q-tip to clean out the crease. i love it though!! still to this day one of my favorites!! have fun!
  • I love my rook piercing, it didn't hurt when I got it pierced, like it may have been the adrenaline, but I didn't really feel any pain. Afterwards it can get painful, but keep it clean and it will be fine.
  • Ver similar, although depending on the size and shape of your rook it may be more cartilage to go through. Make sure the jewelry fits well, as it doensn't have as much surrounding space as a tragus. It's better to have a barbell, at least initially, than anything curved.
  • I've never had it done, nor would I, but it should be very painful...check this out... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rook_(piercing)
  • I've had both my tragus and rook pierced. To me, tragus was numb. Rook is the most painful place I've had pierced. (take into consideration that I've had 30+ piercings, including surface piercings and piercings through scar tissue) It took over a year to heal. Well worth it, though. It's awesome and not seen very often.
