Yes, I try to give as many points as I can.
-
Yes, I admit, if you answer my question, I'll PROBABLY give you points. If you ask for them, no I won't though.
-
No. I only award points when an answer is superb.
-
Yes I point them and comment.
-
Yes. If it's a factual question I take into account the quality and helpfulness of the answer and rate accordingly (If the answer provides sources and something to back those facts up, the better for me.) I'm a little more "generous" in opinion or conversational questions, after all, most of them don't really have a right or wrong answer.
-
I usually give points to almost every answer to my question because I see them as helpful, whether it's a part or the user explains everything. Every user who helps will receive 6 points from me. If I see that an extension of their answer is needed, then I would comment on the answer. If I find the answer to be nonsense or rather spam/offensive, or does not answer the question at all, then I do not give any points or take away any from the user. I just move on.
-
yes i do. i've only asked a few questions, and i think i gave points to all that answered.
-
I try to point every answer, except the outright nonsense ones, (not the joking ones...the ones that don't mean anything at all...) I also try to thank everyone for answering...seems only polite as they took the time to answer my question.
-
Absolutely. I usually give points even if the answer isn't particularly helpful (unless it's offensive) just as a way of thanking the person for taking the time to respond.
-
I usually give points to everyone that answers my questions.
-
Sure, as long as I think the answer's good/helpful/funny/likable. It's always good to give points to thank people for the time and energy they spent answering the question, unless it's a non-helpful, thinly disguised attempt for points. Then I just usually ignore it.
-
Yeah I usually do, and they usually get a comment too. Sometimes answers are rude or completely off the wall and they don't receive points from me, although they still usually receive a comment.
-
Yes I do...if they take the time to answer I take the time to comment and give points.
-
Yes i do i up rate and leave a thanks comment most of the times.
-
Yes i do, even if i don't agree, and is in good taste. I always go back and leave comments if i don't have time right then. That's my thank you note!!
-
Yes, only if the answer was helpful. No points for effort. *Why should anyone waste their time reading someones judgments, opinions and attempts to dissuade the questioner if they didn't ask for that?
-
Yes I do and I try to leave a note of thanks too. If anyone has answered one of my questions and I have not rated it please let me know, I am remiss in the fact that for months I could not even find the questions and answers and was going through a bad time so some could have got overlooked.
-
Yeah and sometimes my questions are just meant to be fun & thought provoking so I'll give max points to every answer unless it's blatantly offensive or something.
-
Yes. However, I am not absolutely sure that the new answers are correctly announced by the system. So I sometimes make additional checks.
-
I try to thank everyone who answers my questions even if I don't like their answers. Cause at the time it might not seem helpful but later on their answer can be very helpful.
-
I try to be careful to be sure that I always give points to anyone who answers my question. The only time I don't is if the answer itself is offensive. There are some AB Users who apparently think it's cute or some sort of "statement" to point up every answer except one given by someone that s/he does not like. Then there is absolutely no recognition of a valid answer. It's extremely immature behavior. As a matter of fact, I can unequivocally prove that one of the persons who answered this question earlier that s/he does point up every person does not. I have a screen shot that shows 50 answers, and only 49 of them given points by the asker. The other one was deliberatly snubbed. Others do the same thing. It's ridiculous.
-
I try to ckeck back on all of my questions and give points and leave a comment. I try to do this so they all know I am reading all answers!!
-
Yep, unless it's negative towards me. :)
-
that be me
-
I give everyone who answers points, unless I ran out.
-
If the answer makes sense, then I do.
-
I give nearly everyone points who cares enough to respond to my questions. And I give points to every questions I answer.
-
I hope you do....:)
-
Provided they didn't answer with something wrong, rude, or otherwise unfavorable I give points to almost every answer I read.
-
Unless their answer is rude or offensive, I always give points to everyone who takes the time to answer my question.
-
I do, unless they are spamming, or offensive in anyway.
-
ME! I always try and give points for people answering my questions. I deduct marks for certain things, but always a positive rating - even if it's just +1.
-
I do
-
I do.:-)+
-
I give points and try to comment on everybody that answers my questions.
-
i do too
-
I try to!
-
only if its worth it...
-
Yes, I'm kind :)
-
Of course, they took the time to answer sometimes you can even learn a different perspective if you keep an open mind!
-
I TRY to give points to everyone who answers my questions. I can't promise that I will ALWAYS give points to the answers that I receive because with more than 2,000 questions, I'm sure I will miss some of the answers that I receive.
-
At least 1, even if they don't answer the question
-
I surely do :)
-
eeek...I had answered this already...please flag
-
yes. at least 1 just because they took the time to answer my question and I do it to show appreciation. I personally hate to answer questions and not even get recognition for it in any way. Most of my questions only have 1 or 2 answers so you bet that I will always award points just because people take time to answer them
-
Absolutely. I go back to old questions often and check them to see if I've missed anyone. There's only been one time that I didn't give points...very recently...someone answered a question with with an obsence offensive insult. I didn't downrate...I just ignored.
-
I used to but now I don't give points to answers that insult me.
-
Yes. If they take the time to answer it, unless it's a mocking or derogatory answer, it's worth my measly 6 pts.
-
almost everyone. i truly appreciate peoples input and opinions. i acknowledge their time and their thoughtfulness in answering my question by giving them points. however, i dont give points if someone is a complete ass. and if they are extremely nasty i will give them points ~ negative ones.
-
Yes, that is a known fact about me, if you answer of my questions I will get you points and a comment as fast as I can. As of late I've been behind and have been catching up slowly, so I apolidge to anyone who hasn't got one of those for answering my q.
-
ABsolutely
-
Yup, helpful or no, if they took the time to answer, they deserve points.
-
Yes I give everyone points that cares enough to answer. If they are rude or stupid and not answering, like saying yes or no, then I will give them minimum points.
