Nowhere *is* the capital of Assyria - it is a country/empire that only existed in biblical times. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assyria . If you mean the modern country of Syria, its capital is Damascus.

Assyria was actually an ancient civilization who often fought with the Greeks and Phoenecians (in modern day Israel). The capital at the time was Nineveh. To say it only existed in Biblical times is a slight generalization.
