The first thing I would check is the thermostat (this part holds back the coolant in your engine till it reaches 195 degrees and then opens to allow the hot coolant to enter the heater box) if it is worn out or stuck open than your coolant never gets very warm. Easy job, 1. drain coolant 2. remove upper radiator hose from engine side 3. the aluminum piece that the hose connects to on the engine needs to be removed. 4. under this piece is the thermostat (round w/ spring in middle) 5. replace thermostat AND gasket (purchase at any auto parts store CHEAP!!) this should take care of the problem.
