Sort of. I get a mild rash with some things and certain metal rings turn my fingers green. But it's my ears that react the most severely. I can't have just anything poked through there. Real silver or gold is okay but I had to work my way up to that. For years I could only have real gold in them but they have gotten better.

Yes. Sometimes I've got a black skin like dirty. Hold off for a couple days and it's okey again.

I am. I can't wear anything, anywhere, that isn't gold or silver (although I haven't tried platinum, so no idea whether that works or not). Non-gold or silver earrings are definitely out of the question, as my ears react the most severely. However, necklaces if worn too long, will cause my neck to itch. The buckle on a watch band causes red bumps on my wrist. And, believe it or not, even the button on my jeans can cause problems on my stomach. My solution has been to only purchase gold and silver jewelry, wear watches less often, and to paint the buttons on my pants with clear nail polish to cover up the nasty-reaction causing metal. I really wish I didn't have this problem.

No allergies, but, as a high level martial arts master I understand that electroconductive materials worn on or close to the body will disrupt the natural flow of various internal energies ... as such, I wear as little metal as possible ... no jewelery ... many of my pants even have buttons rather than metal zipper.

Yes, I'm allergic to cheap jewelry - I know I'm allergic to nickel. At first I didn't know it was a nickel allergy but I got tested (see http://www.nickelallergyfree.com/index.php?k=nickel-allergy-testing ). Now I know what to avoid. And I have a test kit to test things for nickel - see http://www.nickelallergyfree.com/index.php?k=nickel-allergy-testing-for-nickel

Yes, runs in the family I think...

Wow, I was going to just recommend that clear non allergic reaction nailpolish stuff, but clearly people have extreme cases. Didn't know it was that bad.
-
Just the stuff with a heavy nickel content.

Im allergic to every kind of metal except pure silver. Anyone know what that means?
-
I have very acidic skin which reacts badly with cheap jewelry
-
I'm not sure if it's an allergy, but fake gold will make my skin turn this awful dark greenish color where it touches me. I've heard it's because I have a lot of acid in my system?
-
My ears are so sensitive to jewelry that I have stopped trying to keep my ears peirced.

I've had metal allergies since I was a child. I can only wear gold, silver or stainless steel without getting an irritating rash. My allergies were diagnosed by a specialist and they occur because I am genetically prone to these sorts of things. They have NOTHING to do with mysterious internal energies! Otherwise all those weightlifters out there wouldn't benefit from exercise!
