Oh my..I've had to do that a few times! i used to waitress in a popular coffee house in san francisco...I often had people coming up to me who i had NO CLUE who they were!

I've made an art form of doing that and making the person remind me of their name...the trick is making sure that it happens while you're with someone else, then having the person you don't know introduce themselves to the person you DO know.

That's happened to me too many times. Sometimes I remember the person but not their name. Sometimes people swear that they know me and I tell them they must be thinking of someone else because I don't have a clue and they can't help me remember.
