No. But quite honestly I think Answerbag is full of what could be considered ''unethical'' behaviour, so this one doesn't shock or disgust me too much. I've known worse!
-
I think it's cheap trick. But I didn't think it was possible to erase your answers.
-
I do not. I have had a few answers that I have been negged for and later I find out that whoever I was supporting is a troll. I go in and edit in that I now have information that makes my answer null and void. I do not do that as an attempt to not be negged. Actually, it is almost always well past the fact. I do it because I refuse to support a troll. I have had answers hit by trolls that have, at this time, a standing -1 or so. However, I believe the quality of my answers bear witness to my character so I am not concerned about this. You actually cannot erase an answer's downrating. You can gut the answer but the points stay.

I think it's low down and wonder how they can do that - I agree with you + 5

I think that's lowwwwwwwww. I didn't know we could do that. ^.* ) It's a wink!!! Hey look i made a wink.

Ethics are in short supply around here lately. What do you think could be causing this trend?
-
Yeah, that is pretty bad. I didn't know you could erase answers.
-
I've never done that. My editing usually involves a spelling correction or more information on the subject. I do understand why someone would be embarrassed and erase it. However, if the answer was intentionally ugly or nasty in order to solicit some type of response, that's unethical. What follows is a string of comments that get ugly. And if this person is playing their cards viciously, then they know they can go back, edit, and this will in turn cast a bad light on those in the thread.
