On a scale of 1-10 I would rate Albany a 7. It's very diverse with many things to do however isn't a huge megalopolis. I would rate it higher, but it's in NY, the state of high taxes and rigid laws. A state not tops on my list to move back to! I've lived in 5 different states in case you were wondering what I'm comparing.
