  • A 10% tip is what I give to them from the bill.
  • I usually tip 10%.
  • i give them an amount of money that can be divided by 5 dollars. if the food costs 9.99 i give them 10 dollars. (1 cent tip). if the food costs 20.01 they get 25 dollars ($4.99 tip). it depends on the price.
  • It depends on how hot they are. ;)
  • If they get here really fast about $10. If not, then around $5 unless they get an automatic tip for delivery though charges.
  • 15-20%
  • Wow I seem comparetively cheap. I tip $2.00 plus the change. I figure they're just delivering it, not waiting on me. At a sit down place I always give 15-20% depending how good the service is. Great question by the way.
  • If they're leaning , it usually takes only a slight nudge and they fall over. Two dollars for a large pie seems fair to me.
  • I usually give 20% rounded up unless the pizza is delivered cold.
  • About 20% which averages out to $3-$4.
  • Tonight, almost nothing. I was going to, but the pizza was 30 minutes late, and the guy tried to walk off without even offering me my change. It was supposed to be his tip, but I didn't like that he was just assuming it was his for the taking, so I asked for it back. I have no problem with giving a person a tip, but I get annoyed when they are rude about it, demanding, or don't even offer me my change. Normally, though, I do tip.
  • I was a pizza boy 4-5 years ago. Most I ever got was $9 something. $1-2 were most common.
  • The delivery person has no control over how quickly the pizzas were prepared or boxed, and how much you ordered doesn't change the amount of time it takes to deliver. So the tip should be based on distance and road conditions. Most delivery drivers in my area will tell you that a dollar a mile is pretty fair... and it's actually very close to what the average customer gives.
  • I could walk to my local pizza place in about 20 mins. I am usually just to lazy to drive there. I get a large pizza and sticks. Around $15, I give about $2. If they get here super fast or it's nasty out I may give more.. but $2 is my standard. Is that cheap? I don't want spit in my food or to be the cheapskate on the block.
  • About 3 or 4 bucks.
  • $5 is what I give plus the change
  • well i live in the UK and we hardly tip anyone, with delivery guys/girls you do not know if its gna be cold or not so i never have ive said keep the change at like a quid or something. i do not always tip in resturants, if they give average service i leave some change if excelent i will leave like 10/20% but only of they do the unexpected.
  • I think 3 beers is fair.
  • at least 15-20%...
  • At least 5 bucks. Maybe a little less if I know the driver gets to keep all of the delivery charge.
  • Wow, i just read through the answers, i usually only do like 3 bucks, depending on what change i get. I must be cheap
  • I had always given $1 - $1.50, until I read a couple of newspaper articles about tipping, and found out I was supposed to be giving more. So, now, I give $2 + the coin change, unless they are real fast and real friendly, then I will give $5.
  • The last 3 times our pizza was delivered it was cold and much later than they said so we have just quit ordering pizza. If we reallly want it we will go pick it up ourselves. But we used to just tell the person to keep the change. If it was 15.75 or 18.50 we still gave them a $20.
  • 2 bucks
  • I usually give them 5 if the service is good.
  • I have not had a meal delivered since my husband died and he always paid the person that delivered I can only say he was a very generous person and I would always tip very well anyway.
