According to the Guinness Book of World Records it's the European breed "Lowchen" ("Little lion dog") The Lowchen has appeared twice in the Guiness Book of World Records: once as the most expensive dog in the world, and once as the rarest dog in the world. I've searched with no luck for an actual monetary figure. I would have to say the Poodle is the most expensive dog. It must cost a lot to keep their fur in that funny style.
-
I work for a woman who sales Mini Goldendoodles for around $3,000.00 without papers. And they need lots of grooming because of the poodle cross in them.

Victoria Beckham

Rottwieller(German) absolutly the most family oriented dog and protectant of this family. Loves children and will put themselves in harms way to protect kids. Which includes between child and parent when parent is scolding .
-
A huge dog made from diamonds? :-)
-
I think yorkie terriers and bichon frises
-
the type that has a huge appetite and eats you out of house and home. Also one that is alaways ill meaning expensive vet bills!! get a small healthy dog, that will be cheaper.lol
-
I would say blue eyed Huskie, though I couldn't be sure. Ultimately though, Great Danes.. they'll eat you out of house and home.. the upside being when you have to move into the street; you can take shelter from the rain beneath them :) I should think any pedigree animal would cost you a pretty penny.
-
a prize-winning greyhound maybe
-
The sickly kind you have to take to the vet all the time, no matter how old he is or what the problem is, especially dogs not bred properly which tend to have health problems. I'm a pet lover myself, and I don't believe in letting the animal suffer. But in my opinion when the animal reaches the point in his life where he cannot lead a normal, happy life due to pain, constant illness, can't get up and move on it's own, needs extensive medical attantion all the time, and so forth, it's time to put him down.

The most expensive dog to buy is an English Bulldog, they range from 1500-5000$
-
Well, I have 2 English bulldogs. My first one costed $2500.00 and the second was $2000.00. So, clearly, they might not be THE most expensive dogs, but they ARE on the short list of them.
