If you like an annoying OS sure. What is your Laptop running right now? Could you go back to the way it was if you did not like vista (install CD of the other wincows version)?
-
Nooooo, still way to many problems with vista, just look at some of the questions here, stick with XP for a bit mate, just till they get it sorted.
-
No, vista is a resource hog that hardly deserves to be listed as an OS, its basically windows XP dumbed down for the masses with a fancy GUI and a nice search function (and who would have thought that XP needed to be dumbed down?)

I just need to warn you Stewie. When I got an upgrade for my Vista on my computer, it said that I needed more RAM to finish the installation. It turns out that whenever I upgrade on the Vista, I need to get other upgrades to finish that upgrade. I just said, "Forget Windows and Vista, I'll just get a Mac." =) Just consider this.

If you want to enter the land of the noobs, than yes, install it... But if you want to be able to say, im free... Than dont... lol, but seriously, all jokes put aside, I personally wouldnt install it, it hasnt been out very long, thus it is very buggy, and as every windows operating system, unstable... I and every technical person despise vista... But of course, we've all been brainwashed by the mac vs. pc commercials :-P

Thank you all... kinda what I thought. I'll stick with my XP Pro!

A few months ago we purchased a new HP Laptop that came with Vista. I can tell you that we are trying to go back to XP. We just don't like Vista. I don't recommend it. If you have XP and you are doing fine, keep it that way. Remember the old saying: If it isn't broke, don't fix it!

Try the upgrade advisor first. If there is any hardware and/or software that does not work with vista and there are no available drivers, put that disc away and get Linux.
