I have one black and white fur jacket that my mother made years ago for herself that was out of some of the first good fake fur. I bet it's from the late 50s or early 60s. It's still great looking, short fur is still soft and clean. The tailoring is excellent. I don't fit it anymore but it's such a lively special garment that I can't get rid of it. And I have some clothes from the mid 70s myself. I've always bought a few stylish, good quality things that last and last if taken care of along with the fun trendy things.
