there a few differnt things it could be your wheels could be off balance or you could have a broken belt in 1 of your tires depending on how long its bean sence you changed them over to 17's i would take it back to where you got them and have them check both of the things i mentioned on all 4 wheels

The lower sidewalls associated with upsized rims are stiffer and will absorb less vibrations so road bumps will be felt more as more of the shock is transmitted to the shocks and thus to the rest of the vehicle. I can see how it may seem like this is your issue. However, the problems you describe sound different. My first assumption is that your wheels are not quite as balanced as they used to be. While they may be close enough for slower speeds, 80 is enough to amplify the small deviation. Without feeling the actual car, I can't tell which is the case, but it is more likely the former unless your original rims were 14".

Make sure that the tires are mounted the right way if they are directional.
