I'm no expert but I do know one thing. The pain is not going to go away - instead if will get progressively worse. You really must see a dentist. Is there no way that you can?

Of course you need to see a dentist, but in the mean time get some Clove Oil. it will help with the pain, put a drop or two on the tooth causing you pain. It will numb the area, stings a bit at first but works very well.

Try Ameriplan. It's not insurance but you pay $20 a month and it greatly decreases the cost of dental. They also offer medical. My friend used it and had a very good experience with it.

Hi, I understand about this. Im older than yourself however have been recently been treated for gum recession. There are a few causes of recession! Tooth brush abrasion, gum disease are the 2 main ones. However the treatment can range also. What I have been told is regular visits to the dental hygienest and new brushing technique is it is manageable. Dental cleans are not all that expensive $110- (here in Aust) for mine. So I would try and find away to consult your dentist. Thanks, Mardi
