Since 1900 the record is 78 by the Brooklyn Dodgers (NL) against the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1950. Brooklyn won the first two 15-3 and 21-12 while dropping the third 16-11. The record for the most runs in 3 consecutive games of a 4-game series is 90 jointly held by the St. Louis Browns (AA) playing against the Cleveland Blues in 1887 and the Brooklyn Gladiators (AA) against the Syracuse Stars in 1890. In the Browns-Blues series, they set the record for the most runs scored in a 4-game series (112) with the Browns sweeping by the scores of 19-3, 13-11, 28-11 and 14-13.
